And like I can’t believe I’ve been playing sims for so long. Remember me and my sister spending hours paying together when Sims first came out. 17 years man!

@celebkiriedhel Honestly, I would be really suspicious of a really high score. Compassion/empathy is a wonderful thing, yes, but an extreme excess of it can be crippling, perhaps more crippling than having too little of it. If you’re so other-focused that you can’t ever think of yourself first, then you will find life extremely difficult, and I’d be surprised if any such people actually exist. (I’m reminded of the Star Trek episode “The Enemy Within” and how ineffectual a leader the “good” Kirk was, precisely because he was TOO compassionate and couldn’t, for instance, make decisions for the benefit of a bunch of people if it endangered just one person. Star Trek’s first season really was stellar. :) ) So I would say that a near-50 score (EDIT: Or actually near-40, since I just noticed it’s a scale of 80, not 100 :) ) would be a healthy one. Enough compassion/empathy to make non-self-centered decisions and to act in the interests of others sometimes before yourself when necessary, but not so empathetic that you’re completely crippled by it.
Maybe I’m an empathic cripple?
Save Error 12 :( FIX :D
So I have for some time now, battled with the Save Error 12 problem.
I found out it has something to do with memory, that’s why it’s recommended to start up a new save or switch town from time to time, to keep this problem at bay.
BUT now I have figured out, that main problem is friggin sims! Spawn in sims, NPC filling up my game sims!
So first of all, try resetting your entire town, it sometimes help (it’s done from any computer of the town hall)
Or do as I do - Delete those mofos!
You’ll need Master Controller for this, I’m sure awesomemod have something similar, but I have never played with that, so MC it is.
First load up your game “duh!”
Then navigate to either the computer or the town hall, I’m doing it from a computer.
- Navigate to NRAAS choose Master Controller
- Then go to SIM - and choose ADVANCED
- Go to total annihilation (I don’t know if actually called that in the english version, but it’s where the sim is deleted for evea!)
- now a list pops up, with a lot of different sim types, i chose the unemployed, cuz who those bastards I’m a right or what >:o - hey that’s not nice! It was just joke ok? :o - Oh okay then.
- When you click okay a list of sims come up, with a little thumbnail, i select as many as I feel like and then press okay.
The game then warn you about the imminent annihilation of a sim, press “OK” then another box appears, that ask if you wanna do the same to all your selected sims, press okay, and then POOF!!!! Your game is playable again and should now be able to save (use a slightly different save name, just to extra sure)

I just ran into the glitch where the UI disappears in build/buy mode and came across this little gem of info when Googling for a fix:

Hey guys,
If you somehow lose your main toolbar that controls build/buy mode, as I did just now, press down the f2 button on your keyboard and press Enter. I have no idea how that menu disappeared, but I’m glad to have figured that out or else I wouldn’t have been able to save my game! Hope this is helpful for others as well.It works, and everyone who likes to build in TS3 should know this. How is this not common knowledge already? (Going by the amount of people I see complain about the glitch I’m assuming it’s not.)
Reblogging so I don’t forget to try this next time that glitch happens to me! I knew about the F5 trick, but that only seems to work about a third of the time. Anyway, thank you for the tip, Al. :)
ETA: It just tried it, and it seems to force the game to refresh buy mode. The trick is to press and hold F2 and then press enter. In case that wasn’t clear to anyone.
Like me, who first tried pressing F2 and then pressing enter. >.>Reblog to save a simmers life! We’ve all had this happen, at least once……

At tutorial to help you add custom thumbnails to any clothing, hair or makeup items in TS3. This is seriously wordy and hopefully it will be helpful!

I was looking for a way to do this earlier too.
I deleted pre-made lots from the edit town library by emptying the NonPackaged/Library folder, but I think sims are stored in the DeltaBuild and FullBuild packages.
You could always back those files up safely and then delete the SIMO and SIME files from them, see if that works?How did I not notice before! I found them right in the Deltabuild0 and Fullbuild0. I’m literally in those files all day! How eyes XD
Anyone who wanted to know (!!But backup the file first!!):
- Open up your Deltabuild0.package in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\Packages
- Open them up in S3PE.
- Click on the ‘filter active’ box so it’s checked.
- Click on the ‘tag’ box, so it’s checked.
- Find all these files: SIMO, SNAP, SIME. One by one. Don’t type them all at once in the scearch bar.
- Use ‘delete’ on your keyboard or select all, Right+click and click ‘delete’
- Save it!
- Done! Time to test!
Note:
- Deltabuild0 has the animals and plumbots.
- Fullbuild0 has the sims.

- press alt +g
- alter if necessary
